Kinderview nurseries are owed and managed Louise Jackson and Suzanne Bradley, who together have over 50 years’ experience working in childcare and education.
Back in 2015, Louise was working as a teacher in a secondary school and, after 16 wonderful years, she was looking for a new challenge.
Suzanne had previously owned two nurseries and had worked in early years for over 30 years as a qualified Early Years Teacher. After taking a little time off she missed the buzz of the nursery environment and was looking to get back into the sector.
Living in the Glossop area, both liked the idea of making a difference to young children’s care and education in their home town.
With Louise’s background in outdoor education and Suzanne’s background living on a farm for many years, they both really wanted to promote outdoor play and for this to form part of the Kinderview Nursery ethos. Therefore, finding a single-story building with easy access to the outdoors was particularly important to them.
After meeting the Headteacher and Governors at St Margaret’s Catholic Primary School, they knew they had found a fantastic nursery site. Following refurbishment of part of the existing school building, Kinderview Nursery Glossop opened in March 2016.
Louise and Suzanne decided they would like to expand and open another nursery in 2018, and began the search for a suitable building.
They felt that the new nursery building should be single story and either have big windows at child level, or the potential to create big windows, so that the playrooms would have a sense of space and light, and so that the children could freely access the outdoors.
They soon found a fantastic building that suited their requirements in Marple, and purchased the property in 2019.
The build got underway in early 2021, with an extension and complete refurbishment of the existing building, to create a truly purpose-built nursery.
Kinderview children’s day nursery in Marple is due to open in the autumn of 2021.
